Taking the Online Assessment

Can I start the assessment now and finish it later?
Yes. You can start the online assessment at any time and save your progress to complete it later. You can access your assessment from any computer, tablet, or smart phone. It's important to note that to be eligible for CME credit, all assessments must be completed within 5 years of the publication date, which is listed in the preface of the printed book for each edition, along with the current CME schedule. You have the flexibility to begin taking the online assessment and submit it at any time within this timeframe.
How do I save my answers?
The assessment automatically saves your answer after the completion of each question. You will not lose any information even if you do not log out.
How many times can I retake the online assessment?
You may retake the online assessment as many times as needed to successfully complete the assessment with a passing score of 80% or higher. After you have successfully passed the assessment, you will not be able to retake the test. However, you will still have access to the answers.
I submitted the online assessment but do not see the results.
To complete the assessment, you must hit the “Submit” button at the end of your assessment. You also must complete the short survey that follows the assessment to see your results.
If I did not receive a passing score and need to take the assessment again, will I have access to my previous answers?
If you take the assessment again, correct answers are pre-populated while previously selected incorrect choices will be cleared and marked “unanswered.” You may answer only the cleared, previously incorrect questions.
Am I able to see the questions I missed if I pass the assessment?
If you pass the assessment, you will be able to view all the answers you selected. Under the “Jump to Question” tab, you may jump to see all your correct and incorrect answers. The box for option(s) you incorrectly selected will be highlighted in red. The box for the correct answer will be highlighted in green.

CME Credit

When will I receive the exam results, CME credit, and certificate?
After submitting the assessment and filling out a brief survey, your test results will appear. If you pass (a score of 80% or higher), you will be granted access to a certificate that verifies the CME credits earned. You may opt to print the certificate, and it will be emailed to you. The CME credits will appear on your ACOG transcript within two weeks.
How long do I have to take the assessment?
You must complete the online assessment within five years of the PROLOG volume publication date to receive CME credit. The timeframe is listed in the preface of the Critique Book for each edition. You may begin taking the online assessment and submit it at any time within this timeframe.
Can someone else take the assessment using my account?
For CME credit qualification purposes, only the individual who purchased the assessment and created the account can take the self-assessment using that account. Sharing your account or allowing someone else to take the assessment on your behalf is not permitted and may result in disqualification of CME credits.
